Horseshoe Tourism Marketing
The Scenic Horseshoe Tourism Region can be navigated in a matter of hours but discovering the true beauty and diversity of the area will take much longer.
Geographic and Cultural diversity in southwest Saskatchewan is incredible as farmland gives way to native prairie and rolling terrain turns into the Cypress Hills and alpine forests and lakes. The area is home to many rare species of plants and flowers and is equally rich in pioneer and First Nations history.
CHREDA has been assisting the Horseshoe Tourism Marketing Group for more than 5 years. CHREDA acts as board member for the group. The group is presently holding monthly meetings held throughout the region. The HSMG has developed a website to promote the region’s tourism attractions and accommodations. HSMG hired a summer student the past two summers with the assistance of funding through CHREDA. CHREDA also acted as the project manager to the summer student. The Horseshoe Tourism Marketing Group presently has over 120 businesses and municipalities that support the group financially. Horseshoe Tourism is currently working with Tourism Saskatchewan in the development of the Southwest region becoming a destination area for tourists to visit on an annual basis.
